The Black Atlas

Tattoos tell a story and can be written in any language. Every tattoo artist has his own unique style and form of expression. From symbols depicting cultural images to words and font designs, if you dare to dream it, a skilled tattooist can likely create it and tell your tale on a living canvas.

Jakob Bjork is a passionate tattoo artist with over 25 years of experience in the artistic area. Previously he was working in advertisement industry in London but got fed up with the boring office environment and moved back to Denmark to start a brand new chapter in his life and the world of tattoos. He decided to start his own business and works hard every day on becoming one of the best tattoo-shops in Copenhagen.

The Black Atlas Website General Style
Colour Palette

This time it wasn't very difficult to choose the right colour range. I have decided for black and white combination to give it tatoo-like look, black reminding of artists nickname and also of ink getting under your skin and creating a new piece of art on your body.

  • Ink Black

    R:0 G:0 B:0 #000000

  • Paper White

    R:255 G:255 B:255 #ffffff

Typography

When it comes to typography I have decided to use one display font family, Angilla, that resembles tatoo art and then combined it with a more subtle font family, Noticia Regular, that is used for plain text.
